The difficulty of the problem increases due to a large number of students, courses, exams, rooms and teacher constraints. The manual solution of the timetabling problem usually requires many person-days of work. The aim of this project was to develop a computer based timetabling system with a database to support the course timetabling process at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. The user interface of the system was developed using Microsoft Visual Basic 6 and the database was developed using Microsoft Access 2000. It was successfully installed and tested at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka.en-USComputer sciencesUniversity time tablingUniversity courseRajarata University of Sri lankaA Database to support university course timetablingThesis
