FASCII: An academic social network for collaborative career development

Social media refers to an interaction among people in which they create, share, and/or exchange information and ideas in virtual communities. The main purpose of creating an academic social network for collaborative career development (FASCII) is to meet the students worldwide and to share the knowledge, follow social activities, do online exams, improve knowledge, create professional resumes and career development. It allows students to create standard social network contents like user profiles , pictures, messages, user groups, articles , video sharing, etc. A social media environment is developed by integrating various social media tools and practices . This proposes a lot of new features to overcome limitation of the virtual classroom system. This personal learning environment comes with the new technologies that are changing the way instructors teach and students learn. This research project focuses on continuing efforts using . social media tools to enhance students learning experiences and career development. The developed system was tested by passing it to end users. According to their feedback the system is functioned efficiently and reliably.
