Developing an online shopping cart system for Saweena Beauty Centre

Abstract

This report presents an online shopping cart system which allows online shopping customers to place items in the cart. Upon checkout, the system typically calculates a total for the order, including shipping and handling (i.e. postage and packing) charges and the associated taxes, as applicable. The application typically provides a means of capturing a client's payment information, but in the case of a credit card they rely on the software module of the secure gateway provider, in conjunction with the secure payment gateway, in order to conduct secure online credit card transactions. The system includes online shopping information archive to search, input, update and report generating, upon sales and all the related information. The Shopping Cart System (SCS) will be presented in the form of a web based system with various other resources. In addition to the above mentioned operations useful links are provided. The system is tested for validity and test results indicated that it functions efficiently and accurately.
