Design backup and restore ADD- on for Moodle

Abstract

Moodle is a widely used course management system by many educational institutions. Although it is a very sophisticated software system, backup facilities are subject to some limitations. Incorporating an efficient backup facilities to this system could optimize its usage. This report describes the design and development of an add-on for moodle E-learning package to support course backup and restore process. This add-on aims to enable users (Except student and guest) to backup and restore their courses and related documents in single click. Furthermore, it enables administrator to backup and restore moodle database. Finally system evaluation proved that this system achieved its overall objectives.
