Design and development of a digital library

Abstract

This report presents a digital library system that facilitates the viewing and downloading of electronic books. The system allows users to access the electronic materials under different subject areas. The system facilitates the administration of library catalogue easily and quickly. Since there are different users with various privileges the access to the system is controlled according to user roles. The system is tested with sample data and the test results indicate that it functions efficiently.
