Development of an equipment and procurement system for Sri Lanka air force

Abstract

As many other government institutes, Sri Lanka Air Force is also working with paper based environment since many years. A major reason for this situation is that the service personnel are not familiar with computer aided systems and it is too expensive to establish hardware peripherals by covering all over the country and maintain them. Such paper based systems are inefficient and subjected to various limitations. The main objective of this work is to design and developed a fully computerized system to overcome the limitations of the existing system. This report proposed a de - centralized online system. The system was developed by utilizing the modern technologies and tools. It was tested for functionality and bugs . The test results indicate that the system is accurate and efficient.
