Web based project monitoring system

Abstract

Assessment of development projects has lot of routine jobs such as daily reports, collection of construction data and the inspection. Public sector decision makers need timely data that represent the status of the project to take corrective actions if needed. This report presents a project monitoring model that integrates with different automated data acquisition technologies to collect data from development projects, that is required for progress measurement purpose.

This software tool would help to maintain the development projects activity based information (implementing authority, monitoring authority, number of beneficiaries ,expected outputs and outcomes, image gallery of previous project status ongoing and after construction and etc.) , monitor physical and financial progress of the individual activities, to plan and schedule physical progress of activities through the work breakdown structure, procurement plan, generate monthly reports on physical and financial progress, sector wise, Divisional Secretariat, district, Grama Niladari Division wise. That can assist the web based software solution for tracking and monitoring development projects.
