Abstract
Though aggressive behaviour in children has been a very popular topic of study, such studies conducted in Sri Lanka are almost non-existent. This paper attempts to explore the nature and prevalence of aggressive behaviours displayed by Sri Lankan preschool children as perceived by their preschool teachers (N = 275). Data was collected 18 districts. The study offers suggestions and recommendations for future research as well as for preschool teacher training programs to minimize or prevent aggressive behaviours in this population.
